The Director Speaks...

On behalf of the Great Lakes Region Executive Board of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Web home of the Great Lakes Region of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. We are grateful for our wonderful founders who laid the foundation over 90 years ago. They envisioned a great sisterhood based on Sisterly Love, Scholarship, Service, and Finer Womanhood. The Great Lakes Region has been proud to exemplify and exhibit the fruits of these seeds which were sown by our Five Pearls. The great states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin are actively promoting the ideals of our Founders and our leaders of today, continuing to be the Torchbearers of our dynamic legacy.

We are a region that is committed to embracing, supporting, and implementing the programmatic initiatives as put forth by our International Grand Basileus, Soror Sheryl P. Underwood, a product of the Great Lakes Region. Our International Leader, Soror Sheryl P. Underwood's Theme and Plan of Action, “New Beginnings for Every Generation” reflect and arise from the 23rd Psalm. In embracing Z-Hope, the Great Lakes Region continues to amass thousands upon thousands of volunteer hours in it's respective communities.

To my Sorors, brothers, Youth, Groups, Amicae, and all who visit our site, you can access activities and information for each of our illustrious States, the 2011 Conference and the 2012 Boulé.  Plans are underway for the 2011 Conference themed: “Preparations for Tomorrow's Generations...Beginning Today”. You are especially welcome to join us as we prepare for the 2012 Grand Boulé which will be held here in Chicago. Chicago is the home of Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, and features such historical landmarks as the world famous Buckingham Fountain, the futuristic Millennium Park, and the Sears (Willis) Tower, the tallest building in North America. It is our desire that you will take back some amazing memories. We hope you will make yourselves “At Home” and enjoy this wonderful Zetadom Hospitality.
